“The customer service here is on point. So polite and friendly and professional. You can tell that they really care and are passionate about helping people with their crappy old tattoos and past mistakes. I had a treatment done and bought a package of treatments, so all I need to do now is show up each month. What the laser does to your tattoo instantly is amazing and has to be seen to be believed. The technology of laser tattoo removal is fascinating. Anyway, if you’re looking for tattoo removal, this is place to come.”

Dye modules are available for some lasers to convert 532 nm to 650 nm or 585 nm light which allows one laser system to safely and effectively treat multi-color tattoo inks. When dye modules take 532 nm laser wavelength and change it, there is a loss of energy. Treatments with dye packs, while effective for the first few treatments, many not be able to clear these ink colors fully. The role of dye lasers in tattoo removal is discussed in detail in the literature.[42]
An important note to consider, whether you’re just getting your first tattoo or are a veteran of the process, is your nervous system. Anywhere that the skin is thin—feet, hands, or clavicle—you will experience enhanced sensitivity. Concomitantly, in places where an abundance of nerves run close to the surface—upper inner arm, back of the knee, hip and groin area, and lower back—tattooing will be more painful.

Blink Tattoos isn't your typical tattoo business. It's located within a building in downtown that houses other businesses, and sessions are made strictly with appointments, so it's not a place someone can just walk in and look around while you're getting worked on. I've been to other  prototypical shops in Deep Ellum and Bishop Arts with friends while they were getting tatted and a random person would walk in and my friend's tattooer would stop and talk to the potential client while leaving my friend to just wait til he finishes his conversation. Not with Viet. Once you make your appointment and walk in the door, it's all about you. He locks the door, silences his phone, and has his undivided attention on you and your tattoo. Appointments are scheduled pretty well in advance. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a month or so to schedule a session. A long wait, but just a testament to how in demand this guy is, and for good reason.
Geometric shapes are always studied throughout history through the study of geometry. Every figure in a pattern is often examined. An image in general can be broken down into geometric shapes, which can make it seem less realistic. An image can easily become a mathematical equation that has a logical explanation behind it. If the images are broken down first, then the image tends to look less complicated then when it’s all put together. It will look fragmented and more practical then the creation that you end with.
On the one hand, the picture on the body can even have an advantage: to cover the flaws of skin when you get old. At least some part of your body will look younger and accurate. It is up to every man to choose to get a tattoo or not. People who judge and bring this well known argument – about the look of tattoos in 30 years don’t take into account one thing.
Dowdell says that Celtic and tribal tattoos are on the way out (and those similar in design). You might associate them with muscled celebrities and athletes, and recognize them for their ornate patterns or scenery. A Celtic tattoo uses black ink to background crosses, trees, or folkloric animals. A tribal tattoo uses black ink to fill in spiraling, zigzagging arrows and lines, often migrating from the pec onto the shoulder and arm. The tricky thing about tattoos is that you still see the ones that are “out of style”, because they’re permanently on the wearer. So, Dowdell’s point is that he’s doing far fewer of these types anymore, in favor of the aforementioned ones. As seen on: The Rock’s shoulder and arm. (His is technically a Polynesian tattoo, but stylistically in the same vein.)

The Kirby-Desai Scale assigns numerical values to six parameters: skin type, location, color, amount of ink, scarring or tissue change, and layering. Parameter scores are then added to yield a combined score that will show the estimated number of treatments needed for successful tattoo removal. Experts recommend that the Kirby-Desai scale be used by all laser practitioners prior to starting tattoo removal treatment to help determine the number of treatments required for tattoo removal and as a predictor of the success of the laser tattoo removal treatments.[43] Prior to 2009, clinicians had no scientific basis by which to estimate the number of treatments needed to remove a tattoo and the use of this scale is now standard practice in laser tattoo removal.

The typical geometric pattern is comprised of a singular design, involving many little shapes. This will be repeated across a field, in order to make a full motif. When creating a geometric tattoo, the entire look must be continuous, not to mention, precise. Geometric shapes are shapes that come with plenty of symmetrical sides, and is commonly seen in math books and math-related subjects. The geometric shapes are fused together to make a repetitive look. Basically, the geometric tattoo design symbolizes creativity, balance, and consistency.

Price is what you would expect from a quality shop. He charges by the hour, a wage that's agreed upon in your initial sit-down when you first meet him. Trust me guys, it's worth every penny. The day and nights of work he does just to come up with your sketch, the detail and dedication he puts in your work when inking you, and the comfort you get in working with one of the best artists in the city one on one with no distractions, it's all worth it.
According to Sebastian, most clients don’t have a specific geometric design in mind; it’s more of an idea. So if you are in a similar situation, do some research and bring some material for reference. Pictures of tattoos, illustrations, or other artwork are helpful in shaping your design. Sit with the artist to point out which aspects you like. Is it the composition, or where the tattoo is placed? Are there particular elements that you want to see in your own tattoo? On top of providing the artist a vision, give them as much creative freedom as you can afford. An artist who is trusted and inspired will produce the best work.

Once a popular location for women's tattoos, lower back tattoos are often viewed negatively nowadays. The original reason for having a lower back tattoo was because it was easily shown when desired and hidden when needed. The lower back tattoo has fallen out of popularity, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get one if you feel this is the perfect spot for your tattoo.

Warrior sleeve tattoo design symbolizes power and strength. The popular warrior full sleeve tattoos include pictures of warriors and deadly weapons, basically engaged in wars. Some other symbols are also a part of these tattoo designs such as- feathers, heart, skulls, compass, musical symbols, angels, clock, arrows and dream catchers. But, to match the right symbol according to your personality it’s important to discuss it with your tattoo artist before getting inked.

When you opt for a sleeve tattoo, you have several considerations. Do you want your whole arm covered in tattoos, or just half or a quarter sleeve? Your tattoo artistcan help you best decide on the scale and placement of your sleeve tattoo. Some people start with just a few random placed tattoos and bridge them together later with a more significant piece. If you're just starting your sleeve idea, it's the right time to consider the final project and scale.
Tattoo sleeve ideas and designs are widely used by both men and women. They have become quite popular due to the incredible designs they offer. This is the main reason when you look for a sleeve tattoo design meeting your interests you get confused. Before choosing your design, don’t ignore the fact that sleeve tattoos are large enough and eye-catchy. They so easily grab more attention than any other tattoo design.
The Japanese sleeve tattoo has long been accepted as a symbol of both spiritual and social status. Although after World War II, the Emperor of Japan was quick to outlaw them since he wants to improve the country’s appearance. And much like anything else that gets outlawed, people began envying what they couldn’t have – Which is what happened in the case of the Yakuza, also known as the Japanese mafia. The Yakuza weren’t the only ones to adopt the traditional art of tattooing – Foreigners did the same as well. The Japanese style sleeve tattoo has a beautiful floral design, a deep meaning, as well as a colorful motif.
Choosing a tattoo can be stressful because it's so long-term; a tattoo is so permanent. Making the wrong decision can be painful, costly and inconvenient. There are so many factors to consider before making the final decision, including size, color, meaning, style and placement of the design as well as the artist you choose to help you get the tattoo you want. The bottom line, however, is to take your time and get plenty of information about tattoos before choosing. This hub offers some ste
Do some research on your artist. This is important since you will be entrusting your body to this person for several hours. Pick the right artist for you at least one week before the procedure. If possible, look at their portfolio first before confirming if this artist is the right one for you. See if you like their work, or if their design fits the type of look that you want for your future tattoo. Sometimes, their work is displayed on the Internet (on social media sites like Instagram), or on the window of their shop. Browse through reviews of the artists and the parlor itself online, since this can ultimately determine if you want to hire this artist to do your tattoo.

Tattoos that are created with geometric shapes usually mean something or are trying to make sense of something. It is hard to understand it in any other way. Geometric tattoos often are used as a sacred ritual because their intended goal is to show you a path to understanding.  Each individual part of the tattoo has a meaning, a theme that can be considered before the entire image can then be understood. By adding geometric shapes to your tattoo you are giving the design building blocks of knowledge, you are building perspective and perception.
If getting a geometry tattoo is what you really want, then make sure you have a talented tattoo artist. It’s not your every day tattoo and there’s a certain degree of perfection that is needed to complete a geometric tattoo because it is put together using lines and dots. If there is even the smallest deviation to the element of lines and dots the whole design could be affected and that’s not what you want when it’s permanent. When it comes to a geometry tattoo you want it to look perfect so be sure about not only the artist but the design you choose as well.

Kind of trippy, but gorgeous nonetheless. This is a type of tattoo that requires extensive skill so, again, pick the artist carefully. We can’t help but stress how important this is. The Internet is full of horror stories written by people who had bad experiences with unskilled artist, so it’s better to do your research than to become a cautionary tale.

A simple, new technique (published in March 2014) which helps to reduce the pain sensation felt by patients has been described by MJ Murphy[47] He used a standard microscope glass slide pressed against the tattooed skin and fired the laser through the glass. Results on 31 volunteers showed a significant reduction of up to 50% in pain alongside a reduction in blistering and punctate bleeding. This technique represents the simplest and most effective method to reduce the pain sensation using a non-invasive procedure.
After it’s done peeling, you can start your long-term care plan: “Always use sunblock and body lotion,” says Gualteros. “Honestly, if a tattoo is properly done and properly taken care of, it should be good for life, without touch up. So long as there’s good foundation—that is, black and line work—it should look good over time.” If you don’t properly block the skin from the sun’s wear, or condition it daily, the colors will fade over time and will require a touching up. Considering you’ll be working with a full sleeve or more, it’s best to get in the habit of using sunblock and lotion.
2. It will take months—if not a year or more. Tattoos don't just disappear after a once-over with the laser. (I wish!) I've had six sessions, and I'd wager that I need about five more, despite the fact that my initial estimate was six to eight sessions. It takes a long time to complete because each time the tattoo is lasered, particles are broken down and digested by the body's immune system. The regeneration period is up to eight weeks, and the next time you go, the laser breaks down new particles of pigment. And so on and so forth.
When it comes to a geometric tattoo it focuses more on shapes and patterns that are found in the natural world. Some of them even have ties to religious iconography and the history behind it. To say that geometric tattoos are scared however is a very broad term because there are so many different artists around the world who have different interpretations of the tattoos.
Sleeves are not easily covered unless you have a long sleeved shirt on. Some people choose to stop their sleeve before their watch so that people in the workforce can’t see it, even when they shake someone’s hand. Other people choose to extend the work past their wrists and onto their hands. It’s a personal preference and different for every individual.
"This fade gel worked great for me. As with any product that contains TCA, you have to be patient, and I have used several products from over the counter and this is the ONLY one that does not burn or cause skin irritation. You should see some results in about a month, but for more noticeable results, it will take 6-8 weeks. Remember to keep sun exposure, especially without sunscreen to a minimum, or you defeat the results. Use SPF 15 or higher. I used SPF 30. My skin is a tan/caramel color, and it worked wonderfully. Remember, patience patience patience!!"

These types of tattoos have become popular because, besides being perfectly symmetrical and gorgeous, they can also carry a deep symbolic significance. In geometry, different shapes can be associated with different elements present in nature – the cube symbolizes the earth, the tetrahedron symbolizes fire, the icosahedron symbolizes water, and so on. In some cultures, it’s believed that having these tattoos on certain areas of the body can have a healing effect, can restore good health, or can provide a sense of balance. Plus, they’re stunning, which we’re sure you’ll recognize once you glance over our extensive collection of sacred geometry tattoos below.

Hamlet says it's common for clients to ask for a few changes here and there after the design is done — but recommends going into the process knowing that you shouldn't micromanage the whole thing. Give your tattoo artist the leeway to be creative and use the artistry that is his or her forte. On that same note, don't be afraid to ask for something different if you don't like it. Hamlet says he works on a design until everyone is happy with it.
Mandala Geometric Design – Another very common yet very beautiful and symbolic design that you can take into account is the Mandala geometric design. For you to know, Mandala has an extremely significant role in the religion known as Hinduism. This is a sacred symbol of the said religion. This is the main reason why a lot of people who follow the religion of Hinduism are engraving this tattoo on their own body. But today, this design is not only very important to the Hindus, but also to some other people who love to have this art.

Advances in digital technology are giving artists a greater hand in creating geometric tattoos. Since this kind of tattoo needs to be extremely precise and even, a digital approach can save the artist time, make it easier to revise the design, and even ensure a perfect fit. Artists can do mock-ups by taking pictures of the body part that will be tattooed, and produce the design to fit it exactly.
The choice to get a tattoo that is later regretted is related to the end-of-history illusion, in which teenagers and adults of all ages know that their tastes have changed regularly over the years before the current moment, but believe that their tastes will somehow not continue to grow and mature in the future.[14] As a result, they wrongly believe that any tattoo that appeals to them today will always appeal to them in the future.

Tattoos, especially sleeves, are quite a commitment. When creating your sleeve look, decide if you want them to all tell one story or if you want them to each be separate. Take into consideration if you want there to be space in between the images or words or if you’d prefer there to be no empty space. Creating your look is fun but it can be time-consuming so don’t be discouraged if it takes more than a couple of days to decide on your pieces. Take some time to evaluate how much this sleeve will cost and take into consideration that it will take time to heal your pieces before you can draw over something. This could be months long or even years-long process. Patience will breed a beautiful result.
Instead of only completing one pass of the laser during the office visit, there are up to four passes used to treat the tattoo during the same visit. The passes are completed with a twenty minute rest in between treatments. The R20 tattoo removal method of completing four tattoo removal treatments during one office visit allows the laser to reach greater depths than with one single pass of the Q-switched laser. In larger tattoos we suggest starting with only 2 passes per office visit. The R20 method of tattoo removal is effective and safe; there were not increased side effects seen with the new method of treatment.
As with any tattoo, you’ll need to keep your bandages on for a few hours, then Gualteros says to wash the tattoo with antibacterial soap and water, let it air dry for 10 minutes, and put a thin layer of Aquaphor on it after each shower for the first two days. (Then switch to unscented body lotion.) While the tattoo heals, wash it 2-3 times a day until peeling stops. This usually takes one week. Continue with light layers of unscented lotion.
When you look at a geometric tattoo you will usually find some form of pattern to the whole design. Some theme that is consistent throughout the tattoo. A geometric tattoo usually has one design, usually a shape, that is repeated throughout the tattoo to create a specific design. It’s a continuous pattern that is precise and detailed. Geometric shapes are usually shapes that have any number of sides and can be described by mathematics. The shapes often fit easily into a geometric pattern creating a wonderful design. They are mathematical shapes that create repetitious designs and a sense of balance and consistency throughout the tattoo.
Those with medium to fair skin tones are best candidates.Tattoos with dark, shallow laid ink are easiest to treat.Areas closest to your heart resolve and heal the fastest. Each individual pigment is comprised of a different kind of metal and will react differently to the laser.Professional tattoo inks that do not have titanium dioxide or iron oxide are easier to treat.Tattoos performed by amateur sources are the hardest to resolve.Typically, the older the tattoo, the more sessions it could take to resolve. Those with immune system deficiencies heal the slowest, so more treatments will almost absolutely be needed. Those who smoke will also need more treatments to rid of the tattoo.White ink cannot be treated.Yellow ink may never fully resolve.Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding will not be treated for tattoo removal. The easiest colors to remove thoroughly are black, dark blue, gray and green. Colors such as light blue, purple, aqua, pink, brown, orange and yellow may never fully fade away.
Plenty of cultures from across the globe have used tattoos as a form of expression. Certain cultures have used tattoos as a part of many rites of passage, for beauty, or artistic purposes, as a type of warrior mark, to identify a tribe or a gang, and so on. But it’s pretty much clear that when it comes to cultures from across the globe, tattoos have always stood for both belonging and marginality.

We will ask that you continue to keep the treated area moisturized, ideally with Aquaphor (which we will provide for you). Do not pick peel or scratch the treatment area. Let the area heal on its own. Bandaging is not required after the initial day post treatment.Cover the treated area with a thick bandage covering if you are planning on being in the sun. We ask that you refrain from hot tubs, swimming pools, dips in the ocean or water sports until the skin’s surface has completed healed and sealed up again-meaning there should be no openings in the area targeted. If you are unsure of what this exactly means, feel free to come in and show us your treated area, or even email or text us a photo to get medical guidance on how to properly take care of your skin.
Regardless, if you are going to start with a single tattoo, in any location, be sure to tell your artist that your eventual end goal is a full sleeve. “She or he can leave the piece in a way that it can be added to in time,” Gualteros says. “Basically, to get the best result for this, you should ask for flow.” (That’s tattoo-artist speak for “something that will flow nicely with other designs”.)
Not everyone is an ideal candidate for laser removal. “Removal is always going to be more difficult in patients who have a darker skin tone based on laser physics and the way the laser works,” says Susan Bard, M.D., a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. “The laser targets pigment that’s in the dye, but at the same time, it can also target melanin in your skin. So, the darker your skin, the more complicated it will be to utilize a laser to remove the tattoo.” Laser removal can cause burns and hyperpigmentation in darker skin tones.

A sleeve tattoo comes from the cooperation between the tattooist and the customer, in order to show a theme that they have both liked and agreed on. Occasionally, the sleeve is made when someone has plenty of small, individual tattoos found on their leg or arm. This person eventually has them linked to each other with a background tattooing, to be able to create a complete sleeve tattoo. A full sleeve tattoo can take endless hours of non-stop tattooing, sometimes taking days, weeks, months, and even years to finish. Tattoo sleeves have become so popular that plenty of clothing companies have created apparel that simulates the look and feel of a tattoo sleeve with the help of a transparent mesh, that’s printed with tattoo designs. If a person gets both of their arms tattooed as a part of a full-body tattoo, this is also referred to as a sleeve tattoo.

Really happy!  Viet was great and runs a beautiful studio.  He took time to do an initial consultation with me and made sure I was happy with the design over email, and then made sure everything was perfect from the design to the placement before we started.  He is known for his black and white work, but I was really pleased that we decided to go with some color and the work was beautiful.  He did a really great coverup of my existing tattoo - I could not be more pleased with the result.
