Tattoo sleeves often look their best colorful. Whether you opt for traditional old school tattoos, mermaid or pin-updesigns, or an armful of colorful flowers , adding vibrant details to your tattoo sleeves can really really make them pop. When you select your designs, analyze the colors as well. There's nothing worse than despising orange on your skin only to sport a huge Tiger Lily later. Often overlooked, this step is important so pay attention. Your artist isn't going to analyze or know these things about you so think about them first and speak up.
Blink Tattoos isn't your typical tattoo business. It's located within a building in downtown that houses other businesses, and sessions are made strictly with appointments, so it's not a place someone can just walk in and look around while you're getting worked on. I've been to other prototypical shops in Deep Ellum and Bishop Arts with friends while they were getting tatted and a random person would walk in and my friend's tattooer would stop and talk to the potential client while leaving my friend to just wait til he finishes his conversation. Not with Viet. Once you make your appointment and walk in the door, it's all about you. He locks the door, silences his phone, and has his undivided attention on you and your tattoo. Appointments are scheduled pretty well in advance. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a month or so to schedule a session. A long wait, but just a testament to how in demand this guy is, and for good reason.
Single Pass removal is the standard removal process for tattoo removal. With this method only one pass is performed per office visit. A local anesthesia will be applied to the skin pre-treatment to make the tattoo removal process as painless as possible. The procedure lasts around ten minutes. When it’s over, you can return to your regularly scheduled activities—there is minimal downtime and procedures are often 6 weeks apart. It often takes 8-20 passes for complete removal.
Older generations often disapprove this kind of self expression, based on the fact that in old times, only the prisoners used to have tattoos. But time changes and nowadays men like this kind of art and use it to underline the most attractive parts of their body or for personal reasons. They leave like a mark, a memory carrying it through their whole lives.
“As a dark skinned African American I was worried about skin discoloration. I called several different places for information. Most where unhelpful and some outright rude. From my first call to Eraser Clinic I received nothing but extremely polite and courteous service. They are very knowledgable and made me feel comfortable. Four sessions in and I have had no skin issues and my tattoo is barely visible with just a session or two until full removal.”
Thanks to major advancements in laser technology, we are now able to fade the ink of unwanted tattoos forever. The way removing tattoos with a laser works is that the laser targets and breaks up the pigment of your tattoo. The body breaks it down and flushes it out of its system. The gold standard laser used in tattoo removal is called the Q-switched (quality switched) laser. The Q-switched laser employs high-powered bursts of laser energy to target and fade tattoo ink. Typically, laser tattoo removal takes about twelve sessions to rid of the ink in its entirety. It begins with breaking up the pigments associated with your tattoo. High powered bursts of laser energy target and gradually fade tattoo ink. The number of treatments you receive will depend on size, placement, age and colors of tattoo. Patients typically return to work or their normal activities immediately following laser tattoo removal treatments.
I wore them to a work party and my coworkers freaked when I pulled my shirt sleeves up. I ultimately told them I was kidding around. I also wore them at a gastropub and to the mall/movies with friends. I can not wait to shock other friends that have not seem me in a while! Girls look at you differently. I am telling you these things are chick magnets! These styles are awesome. I was told that they are all Hells Angels Biker Tats! The other cool thing is you can try a bunch and see whether you want to get real tats and which tats to get. You might enjoy them for a few months and decide you don't want to get pemament tats afterall .
Experimental observations of the effects of short-pulsed lasers on tattoos were first reported in the late 1960s by Leon Goldman and others. In 1979 an argon laser was used for tattoo removal in 28 patients, with limited success. In 1978 a carbon dioxide laser was also used, but because it targeted water, a chromophore present in all cells, this type of laser generally caused scarring after treatments.
The finger second in from the pinkie finger on the left hand is commonly known as the ‘ring finger’ and is often reserved for a wedding ring as a sign that you’re married. It is quite common place for modern couples to get a tattoo there in place of a ring as rings are very expensive especially to lose! A small, simple tattoo such as the love heart above looks beautiful and is also easy to cover up should you need to.
Tattoos are meant to be permanent. Artists create tattoos by using an electrically powered machine that moves a needle up and down to inject ink into the skin, penetrating the epidermis, or outer layer, and depositing a drop of ink into the dermis, the second layer of skin. The cells of the dermis are more stable compared with those of the epidermis, so the ink will mostly stay in place for a person’s lifetime.
The tattoo was a 3 day process. I was their on the first day. The place is vary clean, Viet is vary clean. He has a stack of movies and games to enjoy with. On the first visit we were their for about 5hrs? And Viet was like more like friend to us not just a person there to do the job. He is hilarious! He makes you feel like your at home hanging with your buddies!
Removing skin with dermatom – The majority of doctors consider this method the most effective and less harsh. The effectiveness is explained by the fact that coloring coming into the skin’s reticular layer located above the line of the oil glands and hair. Therefore while deleting the tattooed piece of skin, the skin surface saves the opportunity to regenerate.
Deciding to get a tattoo is a big deal, regardless of whether it's your first time under the needle or not. But for a tattoo virgin, the stakes are arguably even higher when it comes to picking a design and spot that won't be hated later. Classic wrist tattoo ideas are always a great place to start for inspiration, IMO, although what you choose to ink is entirely your decision.
First off for those of you who don't want to read long post let me just say that Blinks owner Viet is one bad A** MF when it comes to his craft. The guy did my sleeve and my chest and I'm always getting compliments on his work. He even touched up some work I got done before I came across him and oh boy he took my dead cheapo tattoos from when I was a kid and brought them back to life and made them look like a million bucks. My only regret is I wish I could of met Viet sooner. He is truly my guy when I need ink and I wouldn't think of letting someone else tattoo. now if my review and the others haven't convinced you then you have to be yellow bus special.
The eye here has a reflection in it that is impossibly hard to do. The statue looks real and the contrast the artist was able to convey is just unreal. This piece is one of our favourites because it evokes such emotion to the observer. The eye makes your heartache as the candles represent some sort of vigil or homage to someone or something in the past.
“For all those who also have ink-related mistakes to take care of, you should give Eraser Clinic a try. Professional and clean, and the staff is great. They are very upfront about what results you should expect and how long it will take. Compared to other laser places I checked out this place is the best price-wise. I already see results two days after my first session, which doesn’t always happen, and I can’t wait to go back again. Also, not painful at all.”
Your next consideration should be where you want your tattoo. Is it something you want to show off, easily conceal or reveal, or a more personal project that only you will see? Your body will be your canvas, so it’s important to choose a portion of your anatomy appropriate to your art. Back pieces are exceptionally well suited to larger concepts, which you may want to expand at some future date. If you just want to start small, the bicep or the forearm are ideal for more contained show pieces, discrete emblems that can be worked into “sleeves”—either half or full—at a later time.
When you decide to go for a sleeve tattoo, there are many things you should consider. Do you want your entire arm covered in tattoos, or just half a quarter sleeve? Your tattoo artist can assist you in best deciding the placement and size of your sleeve tattoo. Certain people begin with a couple of randomly placed tattoos, and piece them together later with a bigger, more significant piece. If you’re only starting on the sleeve idea, then it’s a good thing to consider the final project, as well as the scale of your tattoo’s placement.

A lot of us have imagined ourselves with those same kinds of full-arm sleeves. For some, it could work well with our no-fucks-to-give persona. For others, it's an aesthetic decision, or an emotional one. If you’re serious about it though, then it’s worth knowing what planning is involved—from inception, to execution, to maintenance. So we spoke with Nicolas Gualteros, tattoo artist at Senaspace in NYC, to plot it all out.
“It works! Awesome staff and spotless clean facility with parking lot. Like most, I had my consultation and then began my first treatment the same day. They allowed me to roll that first treatment in to a discounted purchase of 6 treatments up front. Keep in mind every tattoo is different. I understand this now that mine is fading and I can see where the heavy hand put more ink in than other areas. I am pleased with the results though I am not sure I will recognize myself once it is fully removed :-)”
You might have noticed a tattoo trend taking shape that looks simple yet mesmerizing at the same time: geometric tattoos. The simplicity comes from the use of common shapes – lines, circles, squares, triangles. These shapes are repeated in captivating, detailed patterns to form a specific design. You can create anything from abstract designs to geometric renditions of images, such as animals and elements in nature. Add more dimension by choosing thick or thin lines, and a range of colours. Welcome to the world of geometric tattoos.
The answers to those questions will determine whether you’re looking for a design or a specific image. A lot of guys are going for floral, geometric, or tribal designs just for the artistry. They add some flair to your skin. Other men choose images of religious figures, verses of Scriptures, or popular quotes to remind themselves and others what they believe in. Others feature tattoos of tigers, warriors, and dragons to show their strength. Still others get tattoos of skulls, an hourglass, or death faces to say, “I know it’s coming and I’m not afraid.” Finally, many men get tattoos of their favorite superheroes, movie characters, video games, or sports team logos as a sign of where their interests lie.
